船担当のワタクシは、カイト号に引き続き今度はファーストダイブ号を町の造船場に上架せっせとメンテナンスに励んでおります。
In winter this is important time for diving boats maintenance. Followed by 'Kaito', our main diving boat 'First Dive' is now on land at the dock in Ishigaki port.

ダイビングシーズン中は毎朝エンジンルームの点検を日課としておりますが、少しずつエンジンルーム溜まっていくビルジ（船底に溜まる汚水）がどうも気になっておりました。我らがファーストダイブ号は長～い間よく働いているから多少の老朽化はあるものの、愛情を注いでやればまだまだ現役で十分いけます。
Last summer, our busy season, I checked the engine room of First Dive every morning before welcoming our guests, and got worried about bilge water on the bottom. Our First Dive isn't young, but with our love still she can be operated at a speed of over 20 knots with 120HP engine x 2.

アンカーボックスに溜まる水が船底をつたってエンジンルームへ？？？これがあやしいとみて思い切ってアンカーをアンカーボックスの外に保管することにしました。
I suspected that water accumuated in the anchor box came down through the bottom and finally reached the engine room. So we modified the anchor to place outside of the anchor box all time.



じゃーん、アンカーボックスの前に立派なアンカー保管場所が完成しました。
Wow, it's so nice wood deck for placing anchor.

「えっ、おまえがやったのかって？？」
'You think this good job was completed by myself, don't you?'

「こんなこと、ぼくにはできません。」
'Of course, I couldn't do that!!'

いつもお世話になっている造船場の砂川さんにお願いしました、正に職人技。
Everytime Mr. Sunagawa, dock manager, helped us and showed us his artisanal skills.
